Creating award winning wine

The growing season for our grapes starts in May and ends in September every year. We grow 1 ½ acres of “cold hardy” grapes; 3 varieties in total and you get to enjoy the fruits of our labor in our tasting room!

Winemaking is one big chemistry project and takes 9-18 months to complete depending on the type (sweet or dry) and goes through multiple stages of fermentation and finishing to become a bottle on our shelf.

The beauty (and challenge) or MN grape growing and wine making is the variable of weather. The weather affects the growing season and the final grape product. Don’t be surprised if you come to try a different Vintage of the same wine and have different notes on the palate! It changes from year to year!
